KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Success doesn’t happen overnight. It comes from having clear objectives, a solid plan to achieve them and the tools to execute them. The hard part is the having the ability to understand when we’re stuck, and objectively access what we need to get un-stuck and moving forward again.
Shawn’s first mission is to remind people of the importance of living a balanced life, which serves each of the Three Pillars of a Balanced life, Self, Family/Community, and Career. Through Keynote Addresses, or more detailed training, he works with organizations, and companies small and large, to help build a healthy culture mindset.
Shawn also offers talks about building productive sales organizations, focused on developing the “We’re All In Sales” mindset, and “Moving From Sales Presenter to Problem Solver”.
These topics can be further developed in more detailed sessions and through team coaching.
TEAM and LEADERSHIP COACHING
It’s often been said that he who holds the problem, holds the solution. In team environments, for many reasons, the solution can be hard to find, even when it sits in plain sight. This can result in a team getting stuck and losing momentum. Once frustration sets in, it can create a deadlock that kills productivity, wastes resources, and ultimately can create bitterness.
With Team Coaching, Shawn acts as a facilitator of discussion. In asking the right questions, he can get teams re-focused on the original objective, and encourage them to see solutions from a more astute point of view.
This same concept can be applied to Leadership Coaching. Often people become too focused on details that leave them stuck on their path to success. Micro Manager syndrome is one example where an otherwise highly success person might be having difficulty in a leadership role. While there are always many paths to achieving an objective micro managers often get caught up believing their method is the only reasonable path.
At the other end of the spectrum, some have trouble transitioning from individual success to team leader because they lack confidence or attention to detail to defining the over riding objective definitively.
Through Leadership Coaching Shawn is able to offer a safe, confidential environment where the leader can come to understand their obstacles and develop strategies to overcome them.
CORPORATE TRAINING
During his career Shawn had two key skills that shaped his ability to be successful, more than all others, Problem Solving, and Organization Skills.
To all who have tried to understand the Sales Cycle, they will surely agree that relationship building is an early, and critical ingredient of achieving success in sales. The easiest way to earn a prospective customer’s trust is to clearly define the problem they wish to solve, and develop a strategy that solves it for them. Even when your product or service is not one that solves that problem, in offering it, it makes you valuable to them and differentiates you from the Sales Presenter.
No matter where you are in the sales cycle, disorganization is the kiss of death. No matter how long or short a sales cycle is, it’s critical to have a level of organization that enables you to clearly understand where in the cycle each customer is, and what next steps should be. A lack of organization results in confusion which results in a loss of momentum.
